Bette Watson-Borg is an energetic and results-oriented executive leader and consultant who brings over 30 years of experience in not-for-profit and cross-sectoral strategy, governance, leadership development and operational excellence to a variety of professional and voluntary roles. In 2000, she became the first female CEO of the YMCA of Greater Halifax/Dartmouth in the organization’s 150-year history. In 2015, she moved forward to focus on her professional practice MapleKey Coaching, with a focus on leadership coaching and facilitation that supports individual, group and team capacity building. Her practice includes working with a “Collective Impact” framework that support residents, businesses, community organizations and government in gathering around the same table to collectively find meaningful solutions to complex priority issues. Bette partners with individuals and groups in thought-provoking and creative processes and supports them in reaching their personal and professional goals, particularly important in today’s rapidly changing environment. Bette is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and holds a Masters in Continuing Education (Workplace Learning).
When not “in” community, Bette can be found enjoying the natural splendor of Nova Scotia through gardening, hiking and camping with her family and canine pal.
