Coordinator, Great Beginnings Prenatal and Early Infancy Program, Kids Action Program
Sandra White is the Coordinator of the Great Beginnings Prenatal and Early Infancy Program operated through Kids Action Program (KAP). Kids Action Program works with families facing multiple barriers. She provides Doula support during pregnancy and labour. She also provides support following birth by working with families to help them navigate the challenges that come with having a new baby and few resources.
Sandra co-facilitates the weekly MiM program where programming and learning opportunities are provided allowing families to increase strategies to create a positive environment to raise healthy, secure children. MiM also provides an opportunity to decrease isolation, increase socialization for children and moms, provide food as well as snack ideas, and opportunities to explore community resources and venues while participating in a welcoming setting.
Moms in Motion is supported by an advisory board consisting of KAP, Chrysalis House, the town of Kentville, the county of Kings, Acadia University, Public Health and Community Active Living. Sandra is also a member of the Moms in Motion (MiM) advisory board and an Apple Tree Landing Family Education Centre board member.
