Terry Gibbs is a social justice educator, political activist and professor of international politics. She has spent many years working in solidarity with human rights and environmental groups particularly in Latin America. Her research and work on social justice issues and global citizenship have taken her to places such as a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, a Marxist guerilla camp in Colombia, a biodiversity farm in India and a Buddhist monastery in Thailand. Terry is also active in the food movement founding a campus community garden and working to build an ‘edible campus’. She is cofounder of the Animal Ethics Project. Terry currently teaches international politics at Cape Breton University.
